Despite Purdue having the better big man, UConn held advantage at every other position. Alabama, on the other hand, was not as outmatched.

That and a quarter will buy you a lollipop.

We played a good game and competed, which is good, but not much reason to talk about it other than that.

Yep. And if BAMA's last season talent came back this year we would have had the firepower to shoot our way to the NC.

Nate Oats is truly the most forward-thinking coach in optimizing offensive basketball in today's game. BAMA isn't just going to win, we are going to enjoy watching it.

I think there is a LOT to talk about. We made it and played a great game up to the last.
Never thought I would get to a Final Four. It was a great experience!

Barkley summed it up really well at halftime of our game with them. He basically said that the good part for Alabama was that we played almost a perfect half of basketball for us - we defended well without fouling, we hung with them on the boards, and we were scorching hot from the 3-point line. Everything we needed to have happen in order for us to compete, happened. The bad part was that after all of that, we were still behind by four at the half. UCONN was just better than us, period. We competed well, but it would have been a monumental task to beat that team.

Of course - that wasn't my point. Bragging about playing UConn the best of anyone when we still lost by 14 is kind of silly.

I'm very happy with our run and our performance against UConn. We played as well as we could. Don't think that's something that we should be running around bragging about, but it's something I'm proud of.

What was crazy, especially in the second half, was when Alabama would make this hugely emotional run, and you'd jump up cheering and high-fiving, and then glance at the score and UConn was still up by one. Or three.

Then they'd hit a shot or two and stretch it back out to a two-possession game.

It was really amazing how calm they were. Like nothing you did affected them.

Very impressive team.

Too many one-and-done guys. Talent + experience + great coaching seems to be the answer.

Well it's easy to play loose when NO ONE gave you a chance, and rightfully so. UConn is on a other level right now.

A methodical scoring machine.
