Yea. That’s an absolute fact. Is what it is. LSU doesn’t have a “traditional rival”. If you polled the fanbase, more than 90% would say the bama game is the most important, including the down voters. You would not find a single Alabama fan outside of Louisiana that would put the lsu game as most important.
That’s natural though. When a team beats your arse to death for a century, it means more to beat them every now and then.
In my lifetime I’ve never seen bama fans rush the field. I’ve probably seen a dozen field rushes for beating bama. It’s sure good to be the king. Bama having a better win % in tiger stadium than LSU is probably my favorite obscure sports stat
That often gets digested as Bama beats lsu more times in tiger stadium than lsu beats bama (also true). The stats, however, is that Alabama wins a greater percentage of football games in Baton Rouge Louisiana than LSU does. Frankly it’s absurd.

LSU has 53 team national championships. The most recent being baseball earlier this summer.

Gump U’s last legitimate national title across all team sports was 8 years ago. That must suck.

I would add that divisions also inflated these rivals over the last few decades. They are gone, and the only thing that matters most is the Playoffs.
Frankly, 3 permanent rivals in the 9-game schedule should be gone as well. Rotating around the SEC is all that should matter.

LSU might still be happy to win 8 games if it wasn't for Nick Saban. You could make the argument that all of LSU's success in this century is because of Nick Saban. There are a ton of things you can say along this line of thinking.

If only those series records amounted to more natties in those sports. It’s actually shocking how few natties bama has outside of football. One might even say embarrassing.
