well considering wher LSU was after Saban why wouldnt we want to emulate yall if it was successful. Face it lSU was the only premiere program in the west. Auburn was good but they did not carry near the respect that LSu did so yeah that is a fairly accurate statement.

We "settled".... for Saban?
Idiot... Jerry's Kid.... dumbass....
Mal Moore pursued Saban like a hound from hell... and offered him more money than any coach at the time had ever been paid. We didn't fricking SETTLE for Saban.
Your LSU Administration should have done what we did... you'll learn this unhappy fact this season.

And what's that? We offered Miles and we got him. Hell, everyone turned Alabama down and you guys were lucky Saban had a change of heart.

Of course you got him. You went after a mediocre coach from Oklahoma State who did less there than his replacement has. Why would that coach turn down a program that was one year removed from a national championship?
And who is everyone? Rich Rod? Last time I checked, that's one person.

As I posted a few days ago, LSU is sorta our Kindercare of coaches.
Once y'all train 'em, they move on up to the bigtime program.

BAMA would be below us this decade, so he is really not moving up

Bama wants to be LSU so bad right now its is sad! That's why they spend all there time on our msg boards trying to convice us of there relevance.

You see once you start on the slippery slope of saying only the last decade is relevant, you have absolutely no defense against ALL of history becoming relevant. There is absolutely NO good reason to exclude all of history as being relevant UNLESS the years prior to the last decade were mediocre. If you say the last 10 years are relevant, you are by default admitting that all of history is important because there is no way to separate or divide history up objectively or impartially. Either all of history is important or none of it is.
So what is the correct answer?
The answer is easy. All of history is important. Does this mean I'm better than you or that you should somehow feel insecure? No, absolutely not. I'm better than you for a variety of other reasons. But that's beside the point. When recruits come to Alabama they see all of the history, not just the last 10 years. And needless to say, it is impressive and THAT is the reason idiots like you only argue about the last decade, because when you look at the totality of history LSU falls way short of Bama in terms of tradition and hardware.

So let's spell out some GUMP logic; as oxymoronic as that statement is, we'll go there anyway...
So, Miles has done MORE than Saban did with players recruited by Saban at LSU. Gump Logic = Saban set Miles up and was riding the wave Saban started at LSU.
Then we have the little nugget above: Miles did LESS at Okie St than did his predecessor. Gump Logic = Miles' predecessor did better than he at Okie State because Miles left the program in shambles and sucks.
You Gumps can't have it both ways!
Either Saban and Miles are both great coaches because they left programs in better shape than when they arrived, helping each predecessor to win
OR
Saban sucks, because he had less success at LSU than his predecessor (MILES).
Pick a damn side. I know this may hurt some of your heads, but this is why most other fanbases laugh at yall. You twist and manipulate everything to paint Bama better, even though your arguments are mutually exclusive!
You Gumps crack me up
