Are you seriously complaining about this? That's a penalty that happens all the time.

I didn’t see 3 players still on the field. I saw one halfway off the field at the snap. So if you have some evidence of it being blatantly obvious with 3 guys, then I’ll gladly reconsider.

But you do realize that no flag was thrown for it. Are you saying it happens all the time when a flag wasn’t thrown for it? I’d love to see some examples of this also.

That is a first or about as rare as Trump and Biden dining together. Going back to 1958, when Bear started it has been very few and far between that Bama defeated the other team and the refs.

Circumstances as I remember them:

Bama field goal attempt, missed.

A&M player(s) still jogging to sideline when ball was snapped.

Penalty for illegal participation on A&M.

Penalty gave Bama a first down. A&M held them to another field goal attempt that was good.


Now my question regarding missed field goal play and the penalty...

Clearly Bama's offense substituted to bring on the field goal team for the missed field goal.

What was different here that there was not an official over the ball until A&M had finished with their defensive substitutions on that play?

There must been something different about those circumstances that prevented A&M from completing their sustitutions, but I don't remember.
