University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban's car struck a downed tree over the weekend, but he and his wife were not injured in the one-vehicle wreck.
Tuscaloosa police said Saban and his wife Terry were driving near the entrance of their neighborhood when their car hit the tree. Police spokesman Capt. Greg Kosloff said officers arrived on the scene Saturday night and a report was filled out.
Kosloff called the incident a "minor accident" and had no other details.
No indication it was alcohol related.

I hate to have to defend Bama here but if you followed college football back then it was a different world. Miami and Oklahoma were brazen in a way back then that today doesn’t compare with. Way easier to get away with it back then also.

Having possession of the keys can still get you a DUI even if the car was parked. It certainly helps in court though but not always.

I think Saban probably has covered for his players, but this is all on Ruggs being a dumbass.
