I remember when they constantly talked about how Pruitt was better and how they're glad he's gone.

Pruitt was a coordinator at the same level as Kirby. They were both very good - minor differences in style and points of emphasis but equally good with players, schemes and game management and both had some small flaws. The replacements for Pruitt have been very clearly below that level in every area.
In terms of head coach, I mean yea Kirby is clearly fantastic at it and anyone would be happy to have him.

Why would Kirby leave? He is pretty much guaranteed a trip to the SEC championship every year. Plus UGA is on a definite upward trajectory as a program. Bama isn't

I heard Kirby was leaving for Bama..announcement to come in the offseason.
