I think it can easily be said that all coaches do similar things like this to get ahead of the competition. If this is true, I don't condone what Saban is doing but I will give him the benefit of the doubt in this case. Alonzo Lawrence and Prince Hall didn't depart Tuscaloosa under the best of circumstances and are probably bitter about it. No one wants to admit they did anything wrong but sometimes you did.

As we all know AU's secondary wasn't the best this year. However, we promised Ryan White a shot at QB. He got that shot and played QB for the first half of the season until he decided he wanted to move to his more natural position in the secondary.
Saban promises B.J. Scott a "package", well we all know how that turned out. Corey Grant was moved to CB like the first day of practice. etc, etc.

See, the problem with the lame "wahhh you're calling names" response is that everybody ends up name-calling to one extent or the other, so you end up looking like a douche.
