that UK game was miserable. i was pretty drunk in the beggining and i just remember having a big pinch in and my ex coming up and asking if i had dip and i lied my arse off. then i sobered up and remember the 2nd half clearly and how furious i was. and yea, i remember party in usa and
as for the 2008 Bama game WG i remember that one clearly. the night before we had a HS game vs Westminster and we actually had our own "Blackout". All the SR parents had gone out and bought the team black jerseys and we did the whole UGA routine. we warmed up in red and when we went back in they were all hanging there and everyone went nuts. we went on to whip their arse most of the game only for a couple mistakes by some idiots cost us the lead. at the end a freshman (our Kicker actually got hurt in the game) lined up for us to kick the tying FG and he nailed it. but they called a TO. next attempt naturally was blocked and we fell to 0-4.
so i went home pissed and slept from 2:30 to 5:30 and some buds and i headed to athens to tailgate and go to college gameday. then at the game i just remember being exhausted and just miserable. it was such an amazing atmosphere and i had never seen such electricity in athens only for us to be flat out humiliated. at that point i had never left a game a minute early but when bama put up their 41st point with about 3 min left or w/e i said frick it this team has done enough damage to my psyche and i went home. fell asleep on the ride home like 4 times and ended up being away for 20 consecutive hours after playing a game haha
man im all full of :csb: today

2008 must have been a painful season for Georgia. Not because 10-3 is terrible, but because the expectation was for so much more.

yea, it was a pretty awful season. i was at the UF game too. just pathetic what they did that day. probably one of the most shameful UGA efforts until the 2010 campaign. those were new lows.
2008 was just abysmal

It was. We finished 10-3 and ranked 10th in the country, so on the face it wasn't that bad. But it was supposed to be "our year" and there was SO much hype around the program with us being ranked #1 for the first time since 1982. We got flat out embarrassed in 2 losses and lost to tech, a team we should never ever lose to and had beaten 7 straight times. If we had won that game we would've tied their all-time record for most consecutive wins in the series.
Not to mention we looked like absolute dog shite in a few of our wins, Kentucky, AU, and MSU immediately come to mind.
It was not a good year.

If you thought the Bama game was electric, you must have missed the Auburn game in 2007.

The pregame hype/noise/intensity/etc for bama was just as good as for auburn. It just gets overlooked because we got down early and lost. But even bama fans will tell you, up until kickoff Sanford was frickin rocking.

Of course pregame was the same. We had no clue prior to then that the players would be in black in 07.

that pregame and 1st few minutes was the loudest i have ever heard that stadium and it was far more electric. i mean we were #3 and bama was #8 so there is a reason. gameday was there, it was a night game, and it just had the feel.
the 3 loudest/most insane atmospheres i have seen in sanford
1) 2008 Blackout
2) 2007 Blackout
3) 2005 Georgia vs Auburn
2 were losses and all vs the state of alabama haha

Well the pregame for 07 wouldn't be anything special for the old farts in Sanford considering nothing out of the ordinary was happening now would it?

haha very true. the old farts that were convinced we would never break "tradition" (only idiots delude themselves into thinking we have timeless jerseys). i loved that though that place freaking erupted. but it still could have gotten louder. 2005 AU was probably louder but 2007 was just more exciting. 2005 was INTENSE.
loudest moment i can remember in sanford stadium
loudest part of 2007
this was pretty cool also
but 2005 UGA vs AU was pretty unreal
i'm also biased about this game. my grandpa who had been the man who took me to every UGA game i had been to and made me the fan i am and the reason i went to UGA passed that week after the UF game with Joe T. he had just gotten back from jax and that halloween he perished in a house fire while the rest of the family was out trick or treating. so for that game all the people in his motorcoach club set up a memorial where his RV usually was so it was pretty cool. just wish UGA pulled it out for him that game
