Dwight Look was an Aggie Engineer that gave A&M the equivalent of about $50 million worth of land on Guam and thus had the school named after him. It was the first time A&M ever named a college after someone. I believe he died several years ago.

I knew he probably donated. I just could not find any information on him. I know who Zachary, Bright, Heldenfels, Mays, Blocker, etc. were, but never knew who Look was.

Not sure how much is out there on the web about him. I remember when they announced the donation and renaming about 20 years ago. It seemed like he was a successful businessman and engineer that had spent most of his life abroad and gave this huge land donation. Can't remember what Class but it seemed like he was a Class in the '50s.
