That's the ONLY reason you beat them. They were flat as a door nail. You won't sneak up on them this year. book it...

You're right. Having better players and a better defensive scheme than anything they'd faced all year--to include LSU--had nothing at all to do with it.

You're going to sit there with a straight face and say Bama wasn't flat for the first half? That's what had to do with it...
Why did the better defensive scheme fold in the second half?
You need to stick to something you know about, like basketball...oh wait...

Bama got hit in the mouth in the first half, is what happened. They knew JFF and the Ags weren't to be played with and didn't adequately prepare. That's on them.

You mean the defensive scheme that forced two turnovers in the second half and literally WON THE GAME on it's SECOND pick of the day when Bama hadn't been intercepted all year to that point? That defensive scheme?

Nice try to get a Spurs jab in. Horrible execution, as per par with you

Moved to the DFW area about 75 days ago and in meeting TCU, Baylor, TTU, and other fans...I have found out that A&M fans are more hated for thier cockiness and arrogance than UT fans.
I have had my own experiences as well.

Are you insane? No. Just no.

I have no hate for the Aggies. They are are a really good addition for the SEC. This doesn't mean they shouldn't be given a hard time.

AND THE ONLY REASON LSU BEAT A&M LAST YEAR WAS BECAUSE WE WERE FLAT AS A DOORNAIL AFTER HAVING TO PLAY 2 OVERTIME GAMES LEADING UP TO THE GAME WITH LSU!!!!

Two games where the offense couldn't score enough to win despite having the lead, and another where they came close to losing the game but had to be bailed out by their defense... by a player who is now suspended.

First off, I never called the aggie offense "unstoppable," just better than what Bama had seen to that point. At any rate....
First college game EVER for jff. Even the coaches didn't know what they had on their hands.
When the chips were down and Bama was driving to take the lead and fumbled, who immediately made them pay in crunch time? JFF. two pass plays. Touchdown. Winning margin.

The Aggie defense is a system driven defense. AJ barely escaped throwing a pick on the opposite side of the field earlier in that quarter.
Mark Snyder is the man most responsible for the a&m success on defense last year, imo, not any one dominant player.

Yes. Tell me how the first half would have gone differently had Alabama not been "flat". Would Manziel have been worse? Would he have lost an arm and been unable to stick it out on that DBs facemask? Would Mike Evans stop throwing defensive backs around? Would our offensive line have stopped being dominant? All of these things were happening in the fourth quarter, but in the fourth quarter it wasn't taking us as long to score.

Fold? We stopped them with 1st and goal from the 5.

Exactly. And this wasn't anything other than two plays where we lined up and matched them player for player. Snap. Read. Pass. Catch. Alabama could have played Auburn the week before and A&M could have played the Pittsburgh Steelers and it wouldn't have made any difference.

Of all the places he could have tried to go, that one made the least sense

I don't think Manziel did either. It wasn't until that Miss State game where I think Manziel had complete control of the running/passing game when we started to implement the option. Until then, it was almost exclusively scrambles and QB draws. I have no doubt in my mind that Texas A&M would have beaten Florida by 40 had a rematch happened at the end of the year.

No doubt at all. That we were even IN the UF game at the end is both a testament to JFF's natural offensive prowess and the defense playing closer to a modern day wrecking crew than we've seen since nebraska 2010.
