I noticed your depth chart at that position is really young and Williams took most of the carries (felt like he was there for a decade), so what do you make of it?

Genuinely curious.

Untested but there seems to be some talent back there.

Jashaun Corbin showed flashes last year. He should get the bulk of the carries. Also picked up a former 4* transfer from UCF. Bunch of young guys other than that.

Corbin looked great in limited work last year. We have a few options for a bigger back to compliment him but all unproven. Cordarrian Richardson is the transfer who most expect to fill that role.

Corbin isn't exactly small either. He's 4" taller and 15 lbs heavier than Trayveon Williams.

I saw Williams on the field after the spring game. I was taken aback that he really wasn’t that big. But he is stupid fast at that size.

If you are hanging your hats on a good performance against the worst Arkansas team of all time... Mmmm... I might dial that back a bit.

Corbin is listed at 205 and Williams 206. Williams has a much more solid frame than Corbin.

ESPN's top 25 breakout SOs

quote:

12. Texas A&M: RB Jashaun Corbin — Speaking of star replacements, the Aggies have to find a new top tailback after SEC leading rusher Trayveon Williams departed. Cobin, the nation’s No. 8 all-purpose back from a year ago, averaged 5.7 yards per touch of his own in the Aggie offense.

He's big and explosive. Home run hitter and can catch the ball too. He won't match Williams, but 1200 (Yards from Scrimmage) and 10 TDs sounds about right.

Corbin has the most experience in our offense, and he looked great in limited action last year. Williams was surprisingly durable for being a smaller back.

I think it will be RB by committee early on, so we’ll see how they look. Curious to see the transfer RB from UCF Richardson on the field.

According to the inner circle at the cult Nick Saban is deathly afraid of aggy
Supposedly Nick Saban and Bama think aggy and not UGA, LSU, Auburn or even Florida are their biggest threat.

D-line is where we actually have quality depth. It's linebacker where we had to load up in recruiting (signed 5 this past cycle).

If Blades and Young aren't as good as advertised we will suffer at CB again.
