No wad here just thought it was an odd choice, plus my sister went to TCU so I tend to dislike SMU for the same reason you appear to like them.
Fortunately for me the few that went to SMU aren't complete arseholes like the crowd that swims around Highland Park and old Preston Hollow. With that said, I'm a much bigger fan of Ft Worth than it's pretentious counterpart Dallas.

I don't have too big of an issue with people that were never enrolled at LSU. We all know guys that bled a certain school's colors their whole life but didn't make it onto campus as a student. I don't see them as any different than myself.
My old man was "enrolled" at LSU before failing out completely and going to work on the rigs. The guy lived IN Tiger Stadium. I know the whole story about why those were dorm rooms --- are they still used for dorms?
He'll always be an LSU fan, which is why my first college game was A&M/LSU. He's also been an A&M fan since we started going up to games in College Station many years ago with his friends from work many many years ago. Should be a fun time for him to see A&M and LSU play each other every year now. I know he's scrambling to buy tickets.
It's kinda weird for me, honestly - because of my dad's influence, LSU was always my SEC team... now we're enemies, I guess.

Well the stadium was originally built as a dorm with a "common area" big enough to fit a football field. I think they shut the dorms down back in the 70's. I've heard some good stories from guys who lived in the "rock" as they called it.

His stories from there are pretty outrageous. He was there at the tail end of the 60's.

No insulation made it really fun during the winter. There has been discussions of cleaning them up and making them into condos for boosters, but that's all just rumors and hearsay. For the most part they are all filled with asbestos, so doing the work would be a pretty tall order.

Hah, I forgot today was 4-20. I was wondering why some of the area radio stations were playing so much Bob Marley.
