I get it. I noticed it because y'all are the only people in history to ever view tceh as a good team. Bad timing ! It happens, Rice was good in the 1940's and TCU sucked forever, literally, before Gary Patterson, but everyone seems to have forgotten it.

Yup. Their best period of football happened during one of our worst. A lot of my family (A&M grads) don't understand why I dislike Tech so much and view LSU and Baylor as the secondary rival depending on when they were in school. The students who started at A&M in 09 or so will never have that hate for Tech because they always beat them. Funny how that works.

I agree with everything you said, but Baylor?
Aside from RG3 winning the Heisman this year...When have they ever been good?
I never knew TAMU considered them a rival. They are truly a huge collection hypocrites. Commonly known as the dirtiest team in college football under Grant Taeff, but very religious!

They were actually pretty good in the 80's under Teaff, when some of my family members were in school. They're also 90 miles away from A&M.

They did go to Cotton Bowl once in the early 80's, but about four teams in front of them were on probation and couldn't go. If I remember Bama laid the wood to them.

Yeah, they had a couple 9 win seasons in the mid 80's too. That era was much more about the Texas rivalry than anything else. Bonfire and our struggles made the Texas rivalry less intense, there weren't really big secondary rivalries in those days

Those were our last years in the SWC, I remember them well. It was an odd and uncharacteristic time for the SWC, it was imploding.

Aggies are so jelly of TR

Tech never won the SWC outright. They shared it once. Their last outright conference title was in the 1940's playing teams like New Mexico St and West Texas A&M
