If the Panthers are going to take a quarterback in the top 3 rounds it'll be one of these guys: Mallett, Gabbert, Newton, or Ponder. I don't see them picking any other quarterback in the top 3 rounds. They could pick up some random one in the 4-6th round to challenge Pike for the third roster spot, but outside of Gabbert or Mallett I don't see anyone who would provided them anything in the near future that Clausen doesn't already give them.
