If that is true, someone should be fired with cause.

I have no idea if it is or isn’t true. But if it is, don’t you think Nick Saban of all people would have a good reason to do so? Serious question.

If it is true, then obviously so. Saban calls the shots, and he has reasons for almost everything he does. Pete is a great recruiter, so that would likely be the case (and it's likely the main reason he was hired for Ole Miss). It's far from certain that he was actually offered a raise to stay, though. There may have even been some friendly disinformation spread concerning their parting of the ways to muddy the waters. We'll never know the full story, one way or the other. In the end, it doesn't matter, what's done is done.

Alabama coping about 70 year old saban not being on the decline is pretty fricking hilarious
What's hilarious is seeing simpletons like you sitting around for YEARS waiting for Saban to go, all the while pouting about him, AND in reality Bama will be kicking Ole Miss asses years after he's gone....really smart!

Golding and Kiffin have coached in the same staff before? When?

Didn't happen.

It's not true. This is the same pattern as every fired staff member. Saban doesn't "fire" them, he just lets them find new jobs. This helps when it comes to hiring new people, as they can be assured the result of their time @ Alabama will be positive.

But as much as we all bitch about Golding, he's not the worst DC ever. I think for Ole Miss it will likely be an upgrade.
