Probably not, he has a lot of them in this thread. I assumed the last one before the curse word, but you know what assumptions do.

Cardboard, Think it was in reference to my post.
Nc14, If you go to UNC fan sites, majority are pro SEC. Believe what you will!

Not sure what your point is but mine is that the SEC does not need the weak shite from NC or VA in our conference.

How can someone have 18k posts and not know how the forum works?
I mean I appreciate the answer but I am still baffled.

Culturally, the best fits are NC State and VA Tech. NCSU isn't as elitist as UNC, Duke, and Wake. They have also had more sustained success in football (the 7 to 9 win variety, but still success) than any of their rivals. People sell this school short. The Raleigh market is a good one, and like A&M, NCSU has the potential to grow quickly if out from under big brother's thumb.
As for VA Tech, they don't bring the TV market the way that UNC or NCSU can, but they have a very solid fanbase and a great track record in football over the past 20 years. Culturally, they fit the best of any of the other teams out there in football, and would immediately be a solid rival to UT, a NC school, and USC.
UVA may look more attractive on the surface, but it is as elitist as a private school can get. They are not a big football power, and even though they are a bigger school, they aren't going to deliver more, if even as many, tv eyeballs as VA Tech. UVA is fool's gold in athletics.
As for UNC, they are the best school in the bunch. However, make no mistake, they give even less of a damn about football than UK. Maybe they would come in ahead of Vandy, but what does that tell you. Just look at Kinnick Stadium. It's a joke. That program is a JOKE.
Honestly, I don't think UNC, UVA, or Duke would accept a bid to the SEC. I really think they would turn it down flat. They are old guard, east coast snobs. They are going to hold out for the B10, while Wake and GA Tech pray they get to tag along.
As for the Big 12, I don't think any of the old ACC members would go there, other than maybe Wake or GA Tech, if they got left out in the cold by the B10. I do know that Memphis, Cincinnati, and Houston are spending money on facilities and upgrades as fast as they can make or borrow it to position themselves for a Big12 jump. All of them, along with South and Central FL and BYU, have been discussed as an easy road for hat conference to get back to having a football title game.

This has to remain of the first page. Aggie ignorance abounds.

I'd rather y'all bring Duke with you so the SEC gets full ownership of the best rivalry in college basketball.

But it's a quiet, unspoken, elitism.

Which is why we won the Capital One Cup?

Nobody wants NC or VA to join the SEC. Ignore the ignorant. Enjoy basketball and women's soccer.

Other than baseball and a semi-relevant basketball program, you guys bring nothing of real value. Minor sports win may win Capitol One Cups, but are completely irrelevant and don't make your school, or a conference, any money. Your football program is below average in a below average conference. It has no place in the SEC.

Below average? It's terrible

So not a Lacrosse fan?
You're missing out!
The ACC sponsors a number of minor sports, which probably lose more than they make. Still, from a TV perspective they provide a wealth of live programming which would be useful for network purposes.
You don't have to show reruns in the football off season. You'd actually have a wealth live programming to cover.

I'm not sure how you automatically jump from this:
to a network that isn't even a conference network (LHN).
The only conference network started by ESPN is the SEC Network.

(ESPN) had come back and said that in some of the other instances where (conference) networks have started, they lost considerable amounts of money in the first couple of years.

I actually think lacrosse is a cool sport and watch it every so often when I see it on ESPN. It just isn't something you see in the SEC. I don't know of any institutions that play. That's more of a NE/East Coast thing, I guess.
I don't hate UVA. I just don't think they are a great fit for the SEC. That said, they would fit right in when it comes to baseball. Our schools have had a couple of battles in recent years.
