Academically speaking, what is your University known for?

as the Top 3 studies.
Off season thread.
Auburn:
1. Engineering (Auronautical, Civil, Wireless, Software, and Mechanical are difficult to make it through to say the least...must have the ability to pass Calculus I, II, and III).
2. Pharmacy (We just had a bomb threat from from someone in Mississippi that got rejected into our program. They closed the building and put policeman at the entrances until we could figure things out)...It turned out to just be a threat, but seriously, Why???
3. Veterinary Medicine (we take animals of all sorts...most notably two zebras from Zoo Atlanta. We also place more Vet students at the Georgia Aquarium than any other school in the South East.
It may not be much, but you can't deny that these degrees pay off. Not only in money, because of the small sample size in acceptance to work with, but in life experience as well. You can't beat these degrees if that is what you truly love to do in life.
Please add your own opinions from your own particular school as well. I have 5 nieces and nephews who are about to graduate high school either this year, or next, and would love the insight as we are making a decision for colleges.

I went to MTSU, and their professional pilot program is top notch. The school has an airport.

Academically speaking, carrying the weight of you poor, public SEC schools

That's still basically all it has going for it, along with concrete engineering and audio production.

Not nice Vandy fan. Mean and uncivilized. Remember your manners!

but you just said

along with concrete engineering and audio production
which are both considered very good programs

there's a lot of MTSU grads knocking it down in the construction industry in Nashville these days. Obviously the music business in Nashville has a lot of MTSU and Belmont grads.

I did my first 2 years there before transferring to UTK, it's a very nice school, just wasn't a good school for pre-med (pre-professional programs there were all pretty awful)

Jizz jars = Chemistry
LBGT = Politics
Jerkin off cows = Agricultural Science.
Not bad Aggies...very strong majors in my opinion.
Keep it up! And you are so good at it.
Impressive!

That's only because you faggies practice nepotism like no other school. You think everyone is the second brother of Christ cause they have an Aggies ring.

Engineering and nursing are very good, not sure about a third. Agriculture?
Posted on 4/4/16 at 10:49 pm to Piscinin
I'd agree with that. Most of the good programs are specialized. Nursing program is good too.

Business: not a shabby degree
Telecommunications & Film: see Rece Davis
Law: got the "best in the state" thing going for it and it's not too bad nationally
Not sure where nursing ranks but the university invested a lot of many in that new nursing building/complex. It looks really cool coming off McFarland.

The MBA program is killer.
Business school in general.
Architecture School is a good public.

Probably some sort of industry that involves Oil Management.
A program in Business perhaps? Truly don't know though. Accounting or Resource Management would all seem like strong Majors at LSU.

I'd say Law, TCF (which is my major), and then Business (school of accountancy ranked 8th nationally).
