I have really liked programming languages... in addition to being a lecturer at A&M in 90's, I was working on a project to implement the distributed annex of ada '95. I thought the gcc cross-compiler was pretty cool and came upon the idea of applying that concept to programming languages. I came up with and implemented a system which parsed Ada, C++, Java and Corba IDL and came up with a common 'distributed object'. It could then spit out code in an of those languages and they all worked together. It was kinda cool but after starting SHSU, I didn't really do anything with it.
