So you have to be a repeat offender within a five year window? If it is proven the cheating kept on and never stopped then yes AU is eligible for the death penalty. I could be wrong so if there is an UA poster out there please help me understand the complex NCAA rules.

Yeah, why wouldn't I be? It's that way now. Not really sure what's wrong with that.

Arkansas would benefit from an western expansion. Move the Alabama schools to the East and add TAMU and OSU

Again...if you only add 2 teams from the Big 12, then only ONE team from the West would need to move into the East.

I'd like to know why so many current SEC teams/fans don't want to see A&M come into the SEC

The conference is fine the way it is. Arkansas and South Carolina made sense in 1992. Texas A&M doesn't.

Meh, I'm pretty indifferent. I would mainly like to keep the SEC at 12 because I think that's a good number. I think that 14 or more is just too big.

BUT, if the SEC were to expand, A&M would be at the top of my list.

Good luck on building that case all the way back to the early 1990's, brah.

Just for you, here's a blonde riding a shopping cart.

What you are saying is that I am correct, but you are not worried because I can't prove it. It's not me that has to prove anything. Only the NCAA investigators have to believe AU and/or AU's BOT have been out of control since the last major infractions were not stopped and continued until Cam was bought.

I want them. Screw the others that don't. I'd much rather them come to the SEC then them go to the Pac-12 or Big-10!

The SEC will be left behind if they allow big teams go to another conference!

How so? It makes total sense if they want to join and if the Pac-10 or Big-10 are going to ask them eventually!

Distance and culture. I'm not even sure they bring as much financially as many people assume. Are they not having revenue flow problems within the athletic department? And would the Houston metro automatically be in the SEC fold?

$6 billion endowment, AAU status, $84 million in revenue in 2010-2011 Athletic Year... $15 million profit.

Outside of Football, our Basketball programs (both) make money and Baseball is one of very few that breaks even or makes money. The rest lose money.

The $16 million loan from University happened in 2003 when Byrne came on and has been taken care of... not sure why this was brought up.

I actually think they would fit in culturally with the SEC. What's so different between them and Arkansas? Both have the SWC roots.

Fayetteville is very different from the other SEC cities, but the state of Arkansas certainly fits with the other SEC states. I used to think College State/Bryan would fit, but after visiting I'm not so sure anymore. It just seems a lot different.

I like the idea of adding 2 B12-2 schools and moving Auburn back to the East. I would however hope that in addition to TA&M we would add KU to add some strength to the conference in basketball.
