A&M may make its move to the SEC this Thursday?

I just don't understand why Texas A&M wants in the SEC so damn bad. We don't want change. Things are fine the way they are.
CFB is changing. The Big 12 absolutely will implode after one more school bolts or UT goes independent. It will be a feeding frenzy for the Texas market and someone is going to get it. It might as well be the SEC, which makes the most sense geographically, culturally, and financially. Some say aTm would not fit in the SEC. Where else would they fit? The Pac 12 or Big 10? Hell no.
This is an arms race my friend and you can't just stop and rest in a race simply because you are winning.
Some truth to this...,some.
If it was only about the money the Big10 would make Notre Dame a deal they couldn't refuse and it would be game over for everyone else.
Texas' pride will not let them join the SEC and they don't need the money.
Even if the SEC expanded to 14 teams when the Big10 went to 14 along with the Pac12 the SEC would be back in 3rd place in terms of money.
The SEC doesn't want expansion. We will always be 2 or 3rd in money never #1.

because the current Big 12-2 structure sucks dick, and we aren't afraid of a challenge, unlike the arrogant ones from the West.
Tx AM had their chance one year ago and did not have the balls to do it. Most SEC fans supported the move then, I remember alot of excitement. I personally don't want them now, like I said they had their chance.

ya and show me the offer that was on the table...this goes both ways - we wanted in but backed out and SEC wanted us but never extended a real offer

Adding OU to the West would be terrible. We already have a problem with all the strong teams in our division. We would be a cluster-frick by the end of the year.

OU goes with the sips unless we are talking about an independent scenario...you can count on that

conferences don't make "formal" offers in public until the BOR of each school votes.
Go look back at Nebraska and CU.
We didn't go for 3 reasons, but lack of an offer wasn't one of them.

I never said we didn't go because an offer wasn't extended but I think we all can agree that things would have been different if an offer was.

Don't want Chokelahoma either. I hate the sooners.

like I said conferences aren't going to publicly offer until the Regents Vote in favor of a move.
Its about perception.

Wow, after reading that I got the sudden urge to take off my hat and salute the American flag just outside my window... I teared up a little too to be honest.

Correct, and the Aggies are doing a good job of trying to be wanted when their older brother is making all the headlines.

What you are saying is that I am correct, but you are not worried because I can't prove it. It's not me that has to prove anything. Only the NCAA investigators have to believe AU and/or AU's BOT have been out of control since the last major infractions were not stopped and continued until Cam was bought.

Either add TAMU and either OU or Texas Tech to the West then move Alabama/Auburn to the east. Auburn was traditionally an "East" team any way.
Or add TAMU to the West and add either VT or FSU to the East. Clemson and Ga Tech dont add any new TV markets. Even though the SEC already has the Gators in the state of Florida. Florida has huge population of over 18 million almost twice as much as 2nd place Georgia in the South. The only NC school that the SEC would have a shot at or worth going after would be NCSU.
