That video took the worst rep in a drill during the first year vs the best rep of guys who had been running it for years.

It wasn't the drill, it was the lack of physicality. They looked scared to hit each other.
It's the same reason Fournette trucked that defender last year. Defender was playing on his heels scared to have to make a tackle.
