You guys have proven you can be competitive in SEC sports. There is honestly no reason to apply the same strategy you've had with baseball to football and other sports. You have the resources. The whole "private" school and academia schtick is kind of weak anymore. Why not have the best of both?

If Duke, Northwestern and Stanford can do it, then Vandy has zero excuses. The fact that they are in the SEC only compounds the neglect.

I think of Vanderbilt people being people with their nose in the air and feeling ashamed of having to be associated with something so Southern as SEC football fans.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I doubt it. When people in this part of the country get like that they immediately want to associate with northeastern or west coast liberals and point out to their new kindred "although we are located in the South we are not like those other people there." We are so much more refined than they.

GT is nerdy beyond belief and has a coach who believes in gimmicks and is trying to create a gang thug culture at Tech. The school is so lost that couldn’t even beat N Illinois. But still he raves about their eliteness and talks of the huge strides his chorus line dancing players have made. According to him it’s not a matter of if but when GT dominates the football world. Seriously the man needs psychiatric care if he actually believes these things

It is tragic. But the controllers have so brainwashed the whites that they have no agency. That 13 minute video I linked is very good to describe the situation. Nothing will happen until things get really bad, and as history shows it will likely lead to a radical transformation of life.

To OP, I completely agree with you. James Franklin showed you can build a competitive football program at Vandy. Your baseball program is the gold standard of the sport right now. Your city is awesome. You play in the best conference for football by far. The resources are there. No legitimate reasons for Vandy football to be this bad.
