and just think, James Meredith chose to go to Ole Miss knowing all of the crap that was going to happen. he must thought Miss. State would have been worst. MSU wasn't integrated until 3 years after Ole Miss.

You sure he wasn't a senator?
The racist outburst on Nov. 30 by former Mississippi senator Brad Lott would have sent shock waves regardless of where it had occurred or who had screamed the words. That the tirade came from a prominent Mississippian during an Ole Miss football game at the Oxford campus made the incident all the more disturbing.
I googled his name and found this on the first link.

We are the Black Bears now. All is forgiven.

That video reminds me of watching the Ole Miss vs. Valparaiso basketball game on ESPN classic. The announcer made a comment about the Ole Miss coach having to convince a boy's mother from Texas to allow him to go to Ole Miss. They said the coach was having to fight the negative image of Ole Miss when recruiting. This was in the late 90s too.

It all makes sense now. Scheduling Jackson State and Mississippi Valley.
MSU is joining the SWAC!

So what, a flame from 1962? What a lame excuse for a flame. Plus we've very much distanced and changed our image since that time.
