Explain this to me Okie lurkers. A&M was a disaster in this time frame and he couldn’t get on the field over a kid that couldn’t beat out Trevor Knight?

This entire bolded portion is wrong.

In 2015, Baker Mayfield was the starting Oklahoma quarterback and Trevor Knight was his backup.

In 2015, the A&M quarterbacks were Kyle Allen, Kyler Murray and Jake Hubenak.

At the time Trevor Knight transferred to A&M, the only quarterback left on the roster was 2-star Jake Hubenak.

They'll never get the chance.

Whether it's protection, world class quickness or simply falling down.. he hardly ever takes a true hit.

I’ll be honest I really don’t know the correlation. But how much can a persons arm strength improve after 18? It feels like if you don’t have a big arm at that point you won’t ever get one.

Well first off you might not be fully developed, but secondly you can work on it and get stronger. Plenty of pitchers that throw in the high 90s never threw that hard in high school or their first year in the minors/college. Aaron Rodgers didn’t have the cannon he has now at 18.
