As long as we don't get swept I'll be okay with this weekend. If we're going to win it'll most likely be Saturday but K-Mart's been a lot better the last two weeks.

Rafael Pineda was our Sunday starter. He had two very nice starts and then two where he couldn't get a strike (as in 1 strike and 16 balls against UNC). As mentioned earlier, our head coach is Rob Childress. RC typically has a long leash for pitchers who are getting knocked around. If you don't throw strikes though, you won't see time on the field. I thought that Rafi might get some mid-week starts to try to work it out, but it hasn't happened.

Also as mentioned, Jason Freeman got the start last Sunday. RC was hoping to get four innings out of him and got 4.2. The extra two outs were gravy. To the poster who said "only 4.2 innings," it was the kid's first career start after being a reliever the last year and a half. That was a tremendous start!

Looking at the weather forecast, I can't imagine how they will get in three games, so all of this might be moot. I am considering staying home myself and eating the cost of the tickets.
