No I didn't. He wasn't drafted at the time of the OP.

[quote]While that is damned impressive, I'm sure just slightly more than half are from Alabama so your state pride is slightly misguided. [/quote

Uh no, they played the year before (2003). Auburn got shut out 23 - zereaux. I guess most of the sport writers had no desire to watch a replay of Carrol raping Tubby.

Yeah, since Auburn was exactly the same team in 04 as 03.

Are you that stupid?

It had nothing to do with playing each other the year before.

And LSU beat Alabama in the first meeting of 2011...

The 2004 Auburn team was completely different than the 2003 team.

Regarding Oklahoma playing USC instead of Auburn in 2004...

Auburn has nobody to blame but the guy in the AD's office that made out their schedule. If they had played ANY Div 1 team instead of 1AA Citadel that year, their, strength of schedule would have been enough to get them past Oklahoma in the computer rankings. Facty.

2003 club went 8-5, 2004 club went 14-0...I can't believe this isn't obvious (not speaking to you of course.)
As a side note TT, I really liked that vid but has there ever been a thread started, no matter how innocuous, on SecRant that didn't end in a fap/flame fest?

while i do think it would have been a good game and auburn was better in 04. this alabama lsu reference makes zero sense the first game was a hard fought battle that was won on a field goal in over time in which a lot of people still said bama was the better team on the field. auburn got shut out 23-0 irrelevant comparison is irrelevant

Yes, as I qualified 'But looking back'. Plus then the SEC rep wasn't given the benefit of the doubt as they are now due to current success.

Yea, the ranter above is just trying not to give credit where credit is due. It's pretty obvious that Auburn, while going undefeated in the SEC, was deserving to play USC. Noone is saying we would've won, but the game would've been much better and it would've been a sight to see.

You know, that's a good question...

I honestly can't tell you "yes" as a defnite answer. Someone pretty much always comes in looking to troll, fish, etc...
