re: A game where you really wanted an SEC team to beat the OOC opponent

every since going there i cannot stand psu football. so when bammer played them and when lsu played them i was hardcore crimson and tiger.
of course lsu shite the bed while i was still at psu and they were beyond obnoxious, thinking they were good enough for any sec team. one of my classes began with "how bout the nittany lions beating those Louisiana pig frickers." being a southerner myself i promptly gave that TA the middle finger. so when bammer played them this year i was hard core tide and loved watching yall pummel them.
for the bowl game though i rooted for them. florida can rot in hell.
there student section is great and its a great venue for ya bammers i did love the environment but what psu plays is not sec football. watching those games was a stark difference than what i watch now even in athens

Any game in which the opponent is Ohio State or Notre Dame. Other than that, I dont root for the hated.

Georgia vs. Boise
I'll probably tear my ears off if I have to hear about Boise again all next season. I'll be a die hard Bulldog fan for that reason only on that day.

Boise is going to be out for blood after 05. Doubt UGA will keep that game close.

Boise's reputation was pretty well flattened by getting destroyed like they did by UGA in 2005
There are a lot of Boise fans who are dying to see them return the favor... even if it's six years later against a much lesser UGA team

The 05 SEC champion UGA bulldoga beat the 05 8-4 Boise State Broncos. What the f does that have to do with this coming year?

A ton to the Boise fans who remember that game
UGA pounded them so badly it took their balls a couple months to drop again... losing a game happens but getting absolutely humiliated in a game you had really looked forward to really sets your program back

i wrote that as a response to what he said about how boise was mad at us. i agreed with him. that wasn't my defense to us not getting blown out.

I can't speak to that... it's an important game for both Boise and UGA this year tho... maybe even a "win or hit the road" game for Richt

true - assuming this UGA team is not contending for the SEC CCG
but allegedly great Boise teams have lost time and again to unremarkable SEC teams like South Carolina and Arkansas in the past (early last decade). After getting plowed by UGA they stopped trying to schedule SEC teams for a while
Beating UGA would be a real milestone of sorts for Boise... esp because a lot of their fans are not OK with the prestige the SEC receives

ok you talk about georgia like they are just awful. this team is plenty talented. maybe yalls stay in sec cellar the last couple of years has your mind kind of boggled but uga has one of the best records against OOC teams this decade. only teams that have blown out uga the last few years are alabama and florida. no one else has "blown them out"

this is a fair point
UGA has been generally excellent in ooc games... Tenn has often been downright embarrassing
