Honestly, what is wrong with 9 games if EVERY conference is doing that?

Never said they should. But you would think that having things (like scheduling) identical amongst all would help give more focus on the team/athletes.

When the XII had a full round-robin format, NOBODY cared because they knew everybody would play everybody & directed that energy elsewhere.

Because come end of the season lazy people use overall records to choose playoff berths.
