Yes, and that wasn't a pot shot at the decent Bama fans. It was intended as one to the mouth breather fans who must bring up irrelevant football related matters in the off-season.

It's played out.

It's a circular event of this to 44-16 back to this back to 44-16

Nice spin. All of Clemson's great coaches were/are Alabama alums: Frank Howard, Danny Ford, and Dabo Swinney.
You're welcome.

Frank Howard never won anything but some ACC titles and he was at Clemson for decades. The ACC was much weaker back then. A lot of losing and mediocre seasons.

Here's a list of his records by year. LINK

Tommy Bowden is from Alabama and coached at Alabama.

Dabo was called a retard by SEC fans including Alabama fans until he won two titles by beating Alabama. lol

Now there is a Strange New Respect.

Clemson and Alabama have won 2 in the playoff era.

In one of title seasons, Alabama failed to win its conference or division and was the 4 seed. Would not have won the title in the BCS and poll eras.

as i have documented on here in the past, Clemson was a small military college like the Citadel until 1955 and didn't become a major university until 1965.

In my view, Clemson is better set up for the future than Alabama is post Saban.

I don't think that is true.

UNC and Miami were close to making the playoffs in recent years. FSU won a recent title.

I think the ACC typically has the 2nd most NFL draft picks.

Enjoy Dabo Swinney while you can. Once Saban retires in 5 years(and 3 more National Championships), Dabo will be called home. Mama Called.
Then Clemson will go back to being Auburn with a lake.

i think Clemson might get better with a new coach. my dream is to get a coach who doesn't talk about 'the culture'. that's the worst thing about winning titles, fans always talking about the culture and #Family.

it doesn't make much sense to believe Clemson is going to go downhill given its recruiting location and facilities. Once you win multiple titles, recruiting is much easier.

Saban should claim LSU'S 2007 Natty since he recruited everyone. Look what happened to LSU football after all Saban players graduated.

Dabo will never coach at Alabama. Why would he take a step down to live in Saban’s shadow? He built his own dynasty.

Alabama will hire Lane Kiffin or someone like that. DWI.

I'm sure they'll be another Alabama alum out there that can bring Clemson football back to prominence once Dabo leaves for Bama.
Chin up.

i think Dabo would win more titles than Saban at Alabama assuming the SEC doesn't get better passing the ball.

i wouldn't want an Alabama coach b/c the Saban coaching tree Alabama coaches all try to emulate Alabama which hasn't worked so far.

Dabo hasn't won with a Saban style approach. lol

Nick Saban has developed quite the impressive coaching tree. I'm sure one of them would be willing to rebuild Clemson football after Dabo leaves to come back home to Alabama.
