The new posters have definitely turned out to have a high douche to quality poster ratio.
This is true. It's like all the new State and Ole Miss noobs are the same people. I'm no grammar nazi, but hot damn.

Baseball and basketball are just different. There's an old school sense about baseball with all the unwritten rules and everything.

Semo, what would your reaction be if Oriakhi went directly in front of the opposing teams student section, began taunting them, flipped people the bird and grabbed his crotch at them? Maybe I do have the wrong take on it, but even if I thought it was amusing in a way, I'd still find it embarrassing to the school at the same time. Win with class. Lose with class.
As a fan, I'd be embarrassed. Athletes don't need to taunt the crowd. Reconcile by winning.
And if I were his coach? He'd be running his arse off in practice and maybe sit for a game. Definitely lose his starting spot for a game. And the rest of the team would run with him for a while to reinforce the lesson.

The only thing I've seen is Henderson showing the idiot AU fans what a winning jersey looked like.
I love the way he plays. I love the energy he brings and the fact he's not going to take shite from anyone or back down from anything. I love the way he's representing my university with a chip on his shoulder.

Might be right. I just come from the school of act like you've been there done that before. Barry Sanders style.
Like Semo said, the fans behavior isn't excusable either, but I do hold athletes to a higher standard.
Don't kid yourself about throwing at a batter. It has nothing to do with the fact someone hit a home run off the pitcher. A tip of the cap if that's all it is. The taunting and trying to show up the pitcher is the reason they get thrown at.

so you quit the sport all together because you don't agree with the coach?
sounds brilliant.

The real reason he quit was because he didn't get 99 speed in madden that year.

Well, this has been fun, but I'm sleepy. Later, y'all!

The kid is a baller no doubt. Give him a few inches and he seems to hit it. But you can't deny the fact that he is kind of a thug POS. As he left the court he flipped off the crowd, grabbed his nuts, and he stood in the walkway to the locker room jawing back with fans.
The holding his jersey up didn't piss me off but the way he conducted himself leaving the court was pretty pathetic. Every single player that plays in college basketball at an opposing court gets heckled by the crowd. The best way to shut them up is to hit big shots. He did that and that is all he should have done but instead he completely made an arse out of himself. Ya'll gotta good team but someone needs to get that dude under control. I can only imagine how he might act leaving an arena if his team loses
Rant aside it was an awesome game to watch. I hate that it ended with an off ball foul instead of a big time shot but yall made the play when needed. It is looking like the Rebels are the #2 team in the conference. Best of luck the rest of the way

I'll take Reggie Miller style over Barry Sanders style all day.

I'm not going and looking up any link. It's not that big of a deal to me. If you love the way he's representing your school, that's cool. Like I said, I'd rather my teams just act like they've been there, done that before. Nothing wrong with celebrating, nothing wrong with bringing energy, nothing wrong with not backing down. I just happen to think it can be done with class. Maybe I'm just being to sentimental having watched Stan Musial's funeral today because all I ask myself is "Would Stan Musial act like that?"
Congrats on your win Ole Miss. Keep it up. Really need a good showing in the tourney for the SEC this year. With that I'm out. Good night all.

Pics? Vids? links?
the Auburn SS gave him hell the entire shootaround. Quit being pissy just because you couldn't stop him on the court.

I doubt this happened. Highly. Mostly due to the fact he walked off the court with our assistant coaches arm draped over him after the jersey incident. Even if it did, good for him.

Sorry I didn't video tape it while I was there and you can believe me or not I really don't care. I am so sorry your boy got yelled at by opposing fans I am sure he is the only one. And overall we did stop him on the court he just made a veteran move on our freshman and knocked down two big free thows.
But I am sure if Frankie Sullivan did the same thing in Oxford you wouldn't find any problem with it and would be praising him for how passionate he is...
Anyway ya'll won and it looks like ya'll will be dancing this season. Again it was a great game and good luck the rest of the way

I'll say this one more time. The student section, probably every student section in the nation, rags on players. I have never once seen a player act like he did tonight and I've been to a ton of Auburn basketball games. So no pics, links, or vids, unless someone else has one. I saw it with my own eyes. He's a heck of a shooter, but also kind of thuggish.

Yeah, finally a player with the nerve to say something back and he's a POS thug.

He didn't say anything. He was running around with his middle fingers up. Like I said, I've seen a ton of Auburn basketball games. I've been going since 1997. I've seen some good players come through and play great games and flat out beat us. I've never seen anyone act like he did. I don't understand why that's so hard to admit. The kid needs to learn how to act. He's not in JUCO anymore. He's going to get ragged on the road in the SEC. That's not the way you act. It's that easy.
