No way the SEC should vote to go to 9 games UNLESS Disney offers each school more money.

100% agree

I think we should go to a 3/5 model until ESPN will agree to pay us fairly for a 9th game.

The schedule can be created a lot of different ways, but the 3 perm should be the same as the 3/6 model. Then you figure out how to divide up the rest. Here is one example.

Ignore the teams used in this example.. just showing you one way that it can be done.

3 vs Perms (every year)
3 vs 6 teams (rotating every other year)
2 vs 6 teams (rotating every third year)

This is way better than a 1/7 model and way better than the current schedule where you play everyone home & home in 12 years.

Where's the 2025 schedule you talk about?

I think 2025 will be bumped to 9 conference games.

The 2025 is implied based on the 1/7 Model.

Each team has 1 perm. In your case, Florida.

That means there are 14 other teams to rotate 7/7.

2024 Schedule (2025 Schedule)
Florida (Florida)
Alabama (LSU)
Auburn (Texas A&M)

Miss State (Arkansas)
Ole Miss (Missouri)
Kentucky (So Carolina)
Tennessee (Vanderbilt)

Texas (Oklahoma)

It is simply process of elimination. Whoever you didn't play this year, you would play next year if this format was used in 2025 (it won't be imo).

Going ahead & letting you know...NO WAY are they going to make ANNUAL rivalries as "every other year" or "OOC".

The 9th game should be spun off as an separate TV package up for bid and NOT to Disney.

Great idea in theory, but Disney already has the right to all home games, so this idea won't work. If you think about it, this might be why Disney doesn't want to pay for a 9th SEC game.

The 9th game would create 8 SEC games..

Those 16 schools would be replacing 16 home games against cream puffs..

Disney 16 Home Games vs 8 SEC Games = less inventory, but better matchups
