No doubt. That loss prevented UGA from going to Atlanta and put UGA out of a NY6 bowl game.

I think I would have rather have GTU's 3rd string RB truck my All-American Safety at the goal line for the go ahead TD then have Kirby run too many men on the field to ice the game so I could have taken the family to Orlando.

NY6 bowl, the acme of Georgia football.

Poor things.

Did you guys hang a banner? I'm sure you have plenty of room.

Georgia won their division and finished ranked #4.

A1abana didn’t win their division and finished ranked 2x lower than Georgia.

And then Georgia took your best coach

Hey, when you have a defense as good as UGA's, you get to go to those things.

Others get to tell us about Tampa and Orlando.

How was Magic Kingdom, baw?

Same as any non-playoff post season game, not worth mentioning or getting excited about.

But hey, that's really good for Georgia. You guys should be proud. Took your program to new heights you've never seen before.

Yeah last season was a solid one, and overall successful even with the underwhelming QB play, bad loss to SCAR, and loss in the SEC CG.

I can appreciate it, but at the end of the day, it's just a bunch of 18-22 year old kids playing a game.

But to Alabama fans, it just means more.™

With that said, I don't think Alabama beats Clemson last season.

I wouldn't pretend to be able to predict that game; that said, I don't feel there's a clear cut winner/loser in it.

Clemson played only one really good offense all of last year, LSU's, and once they got rolling Clemson was unable to stop them.

I imagine the game would hinge a lot on how it would go early. If Alabama's offense is rolling and the defense gets some stops, then the lack of depth just means Clemson scores late and looks respectable. If Alabama's defense fails to get those stops, then late in the game Clemson wins.

Clemson's defense was not all that good once they started playing good offenses. They managed to keep Ohio State out of the red zone a few times, but they gave up over 500 yards, and we all know what happened vs LSU. Those are the only two ranked teams they played all year. I think with a healthy Tua, Alabama could win that game. Mac Jones, OTOH, while efficient was probably not quite enough to do so.

Predicting hypothetical games can be an exercise in futility anyway. There's enough "what if" in games that ARE played. I just don't think it's a clear cut win for Clemson.
