i mean none of that has ever mattered in the sec tournament. just like a regional.
also there are no national seeds yet so state isnt a better national seed (yet).

I want to say they flip for home/away after the second round. Higher seed gets home first two rounds. Florida was home last night but chose to take the first base dugout....assholes.

Florida will not be a national seed if they lose 2 in Hoover and lose 4 of last 5. No matter how deserving the SEC will not get 4 national seeds.

i dont like that they dont let the higher seed be the home team throughout the sec tournament (or regionals for that matter) but it has always been that way. well at least for 20 years since i've been following college baseball.

I dont care for it either. I wish they would get rid of supers and go back to 8 team regionals, winner goes to omaha.

It was weird because the loser of the 3/4 game played the winner of the 1/6 game. So you could have different brackets everyday.
So if the 1 seed lost first game but won second day you had to go to a 5 team if bracket.

Yeah it just doesn't make much sense for us to be the away team tonight unless the method was random selection or if the bracket were structured that way.

it used to be something like if you havent been the road team yet or if you have been the road team less then that's what you are for that game. if both teams have been the road team the same amount of times then they flip a coin. i dont really know what it is now but it's probably that or something very similar to that.
this is after your first game. your tournament seeding only matters in your first game. higher seeds are home team. after that your seeding doesnt matter.

It makes perfect sense.
Mississippi St was Home team yesterday and LSU was visitor, so you can not be home team 2 times in a row unless you win a coin flip.

It’s all speculation at this point.. but if these 3 ifs happen LSU absolutely knocks of Florida of a National Seed:
1. LSU wins at least 3 games in the SECT
2. Florida goes 1-2 or 0-2 in the SECt
3. The SEC gets only 3 national seeds.
LSU would have at that point a better overall SEC winning % and most important a 3-1 (maybe 4-1) head to head record. Florida had a strong OC slate but any advantages in RPI or any of the other measures would be marginal at best. Also LSU would close on something the likes of a 15-1 or 14-2 run… Florida 1-5 maybe…. Dicey situation… for Florida if it comes to all that.
