The season for UGA will come down to the first 2 games of the season IMO. If UGA comes out on top of both games, I don't think they will lose again before they play in the SECCG. They could easily start 0-2. UGA doesn't match up well with USCe.
On offense, UGA will be returning theit entire O-Line. At the TE position, there's 2 future NFL prospects Lynch and Rome. UGA is loaded @ WR's with Mitchell, Chris Conley, Scott Wesley, #1 JUCO WR Jonathan Rumph, and Michael Bennett. Absolutely loaded. Gurely and Marshall etc...
Defense will be losing a ton of personnel. In all honestly people, can UGA's defense be any worse than it was this past year? We ranked, what, 80th in the nation at stopping the run? We made UK look like the 97 CornHuskers. I like the hire of Wilson from MSU. The Dawgs will be fine this coming season.

That's why I did a detailed, in depth schedule analysis, and these are the projections I came up with.

Yeah, the problem with that is, you've got like 20 more wins than losses.
And I've given plenty of additional reasons besides Richt's lack of consistency - loss of key personnel on defense, history of bad defenses, first year in several years you've played a decent team from the west, etc. But you guys just don't wanna hear it.

Satchel is just trolling brah. Let him do his thing. It's not enough that they won the NC.

Scot McKinney picked Bama & UGA to play in the BCSNCG next year.

Georgia will be VERY GOOD in 2013.

I've read a few pages of this thread and FINALLY had to respond.
That "inept LSU offense" was good enough to run and pass allover that great bama "D" last year.
LSU "O" returns top four WRs. Return leading rusher from '11, leading rusher from '12 and starter heading into the '12 season. These are three different players BTW. Three starters on the O-line, two freshman and a true soph. How much do you think those three oh so YOUNG players might improve from now till sept? Plus a starting O-lineman from injury.
ALMOST forgot LSU returns a starting QB that litup the great tide secondary for 300 yards last november.
Now on to the "D"
Look for the LSU back seven on "D" to actually be better in '13.
All those freshmen LBs got a ton of actual defensive experience last year, will be MUCH better in '13. Four gained starting experience. They will be more familar with the system, more mature and more experienced. Plus returning starting SR with 100+ tackles last year will be back along side another SR LB that was the starter heading into the '12 season.
Same for the secondary.
LSU returns a starting CB that was a freshman all american while the other projected starting CB was only freshman all SEC. Returning starter at safety was top safety recruit in the country when he signed with LSU. Tigers had one of the best DB recruiting classes in the country in '12 and will pay dividends in '13.
As for the defensive '13 recruiting class. You would be hard pressed to find any school in the country not just the SEC that is bringing in a better group combined at all three levels.
Bud if you think that team is going 3-5 in the SEC well
If coach Miles had lost control of his team they would have lost to auburn, the cocks, aggies, state, ole miss, the hawgs and would have been blown out by the gators and bama. Or any combination you want. Win or lose all eight SEC games were down to the wire. If he had lost control tigers would have lost some of those close victories or would have been blown out by the two teams that LSU lost to.

So we're not making fun of state and 0-8 anymore?

I disagree. If you're hanging your hat on an incoming recruiting class to make your argument, I think you've pretty much proven my point.

I think yall will beat Clemson(at least I'm hoping yall do), but I'm pretty confident you will lose to us. I think UGA is looking at 3-4 losses next year

Jim the Clemson game doesn't scare me. The game that will determine the East this year will be between us. We get LSU at home and as long as Driskel is @ UF, we'll be fine. AU at home. @ GT. @ Vandy

Out of curiosity, who do you see UGA losing to?

ROTATION had NOTHING to do with the '12 and '13 schedules. Those schedules were HAND MADE in birmingham. If I remember correctly the man heading the scheduling committee was a bama grad.
tide goes from playing two of the three worst from the east (combined 3-13 SEC record) in '12 to playing the two worst (1-15 SEC record). This after the tide and dawgs SEC opponents were tied for the worst cumlative records in '12. Do you remember who played for title in atlanta?
How did bama end yp with KY this year and LSU get UGA? It's been longer that bama played UGA than KY. Same with LSU it has been longer since the tigers played the wildcats that UGA regular season.
How do you know bama will play those teams over the next five years? Nothing been worked out yet beyond '13.
Would not suprise me at all to see the SEC expand for '14 and we have a few more of these socalled "bridge schedules" that are handpicked by league office.

What's the difference from losing ten early to the NFL of losing ten more SRs? LSU probally had the smallest SR class in the SEC this year. So, lets pretend they were all SRs and tigers are losing 16 SRs instead. Is that better?

I haven't seen this level of Georgia butthurt since 35-7.
