This Bama team is one of the weaker MNC teams of the BCS era.

People will remember the lackluster MNCG performance with no Colt McCoy.

What exactly quantifies "tremendous success"?

Name 5 teams better than the 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide, and provide stats to back up your claims. Go.

Individual awards, team records, and everything else you're using to make this ridiculous claim are all relative to the strength of teams and players in a particular year. You'd have a valid argument if you were agruing that this Alabama team is one of the most successful, decorated teams of all time. The term "best" implies that they played at the highest, most dominant level. That is an abusrd claim. Florida's 2008 team played at a much higher level than Alabama reached this season

But our '04 team needs no defense.....that team was amazing and would beat this year's alabama team by at least 21 points. Probably 30 actually.

You managed to beat our 2004 Alabama team by a whopping touchdown, but they'd beat the 2009 National Champions by 21 or 30?

Yes, we're all aware that they lost a game. That doesn't refute anything that I posted

tremendous success = beating your main rival 7 out of the last 10 years......having a senior class win 50 games as one of ours did a couple of years ago.....winning an SEC title.......having an undefeated season......winning a BCS bowl.......beating all of the top ten teams we have over the past 12 years or so.....

I think most programs would be happy with this. The only difference in us and you guys the past several years is that we were robbed of the trophy in 2004.

If you go unbeaten in the SEC, you will win the BCS trophy. You just have to have the chance to play for it, which unfortunately is given and not earned in the current format.....

How much must it suck to have the "best SEC team of all time" and go undefeated but it still isn't enough.

Paint me a picture and tell me a story Auburn fans.

How much despair do y'all feel to know that your program's "best" is still not good enough?

How does it feel to be listed with teams like Utah and Boise State every year when ESPN shows the undefeated teams who don't get enough respect to make the big game?

Must get under the skin and fester a bit.

So you guys have never fired a coach after having a 10-2 season only because he lost to Auburn four years in a row?

I can say this: we have never fired a coach who was having success only because he lost to alabama.....and never will.

You guys continue to talk a big game on rival obsession, and your walk continues to belie the fact that you are absolutely Aub-sessed.....

No, we fired a 6-6 coach who's only winning season in 4 years came the previous year - a year in which he still managed to lose to 2 of our 3 biggest rivals and fail to win the SEC West.
