But their offense was better - they had a much more effective passing game with Campbell at QB.

You obviously don't know too much about 2001 Miami, you never got to see how good they were because they honestly never had to even try. Nebraska didn't have the players to handle Shockey, Winslow, Andre Johnson, Willis MaGahee, Frank Gore, and Clinton Portis. To say 1995 Nebraska could beat 2001 Miami is like saying they could beat an NFL team, which was basically what 2001 Miami was.

Did you see the 95 Husker team play?

I'd put our defense and running game over 04's Auburn. They had a better passing game and that was it.

We are but the NFL shows how good players truly are. Don't give me the whole "it's a team sport
" bs, to beat 2001 Miami you have to have the individual athletes to match up with them and nobody does.

This is incorrect too. Campbell threw for a grand total of a little more than 100 yards more than McElroy, and had 2 more passing TDs, to go along with 3 more interceptions.

Due to their performance against Florida as well as beating 4 teams that finished in the top 10 by an average score of 49-18, their consistent dominance (smallest margin of victory was 14 points), their record setting offensive performance, and their statistically impressive defense throughout the season, the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers are widely considered one of the greatest teams in college football history. The team set Division 1-A records by averaging 7.0 yards per rushing attempt and also by allowing zero quarterback sacks on the season. Noted for its strong special teams play, the team also connected on 13 of 16 field goal attempts, and it also tied an NCAA record by allowing only five punt returns (for a total of 12 yards) all season. The 1995 Huskers also averaged a victory margin of more than 38 points, the largest of any Division 1-A team since World War II, despite regularly resting their starters in the second halves of games. Averaging more than 53 points per game (including the bowl win)

Dorsey had 3 all pro players to throw the ball to, i could've played QB on that team and won the NC.

So just to be clear, when they played VaTech they weren't really trying until the end of the game when they had to stop a 2pt conversion to win? And when they played Boston College one of them had a dream the night before that they would get one of the luckiest bounces in the history of football to win the game? Because for such a dominant team they got extremely lucky to win both those games.

You were 6 years old in 95 so your grasp of the game was somewhat limited.....

Since you could not grasp the depth of their talent and performance, read and learn

Hunter is correct. Miami does not compete with that Nebraska team.

best cheaters ever. Bama has benefitted from the SEC being the weakest it has in history. LSU, UGA, UT, & AU are just a shell of their formers selves the last 2 years. Just look at our Bowl results

Much like LSU and AU benefitted from Bama being down for the last decade?

Boy, that was too damn easy!

Miami had 23 NFLers... Nebraska had 27 and set all kinds of NCAA records.

No, it's not. Campbell had a higher completion percentage by nine points, a QB rating that was 30 points higher and a higher yards/attempt by three yards. And he had 200 more yards passing in one fewer game.

You can't honestly tell me that McElroy is better than Campbell was as a senior. Give me a break.
