ole miss pretty much gave the game to auburn....aburn just didnt take it

That game was awesome. I was on the way back from the beach that day, listening to the Auburn Radio Network. The play by play guy (Jim Fyfe still? RIP) got so excited...started yelling touchdown auburn, and then you could hear the tears in his voice as he said 'he dropped it, its dropped!'

We should have won that game. But who cares, it wouldn't have been enough to salvage that god-awful season.

I'm sure going undefeated the next season made that game easier to forget.

Yes, it helped ease the pain. Would have completely erased it if we had a national title to show for it, but alas...

i forgot how bad obamanu choked in that game. he takes a fifty yard pass to get them to the 10 yard line but can't catch a 3 yard pass with nobody around him. ouch. tune in thursday because cstv is showing lsu @ ole miss 03...ole miss kinda "tripped up" in that one.

Sort of reminds me of how we would have felt if Fuller had failed to make that catch in the Earthquake Game after some dropped passes/out-of-bounds catches in the endzone.

Some Ole Miss friends came over and watched the game when I lived in Tupelo. After Oboohnohomo dropped that pass, they jumped up and acted like buffons. And my dog promptly bit one of them on the leg. LMAO
