Anyone have some good meal ideas for back country elk hunt?

Im heading to the flat tops wilderness area of Co for elk season. We'll be packing in to a drop camp roughly 12 miles or so for the week.
What are some suggestions for easy meals? I don't mind keeping it simple with sandwiches and canned food but a few quality meals would be nice while we're there.
Anybody have some good ideas?

Ive never heard of this before and Glenn Beck said the same. One of his guest (Can't remember who) said this is how the Senate keeps corruption from being investigated and prosecuted by gatekeeping who gets confirmed and who doesn't.
It's really not surprising that nothing ever changes in DC. We literally have the fox guarding the henhouse in this situation.

I have an app I'm trying to get off the ground and I need someone with the right skills to help me get it launched. I've hired marketing firms in the past but that hasn't worked out too well for me. Is there a company that would help me with my product and accept payment from commission?
I'm not trying to be cheap, just need to get results from the money I spend.

Of what's wrong with college football and what is to come.
I haven't been in a few years and was aware of a few changes, but seriously had no idea how bad it has become.
The best way to sum it up is this looked like a corporate retreat with some football players in attendance.
North vs South is a thing of the past (I know, been that way a few years).
2 minute warning in the first quarter?
No kickoffs after a field goal?
Trotting fans out in between plays to do a fg competition with players on the field watching?
Players can come for the week but opt out of the game now (Penix)?
And let's not forget the saints cheer crew (yeah, that's right) with 5 obviously gay guys out there dancing for your kids to watch.
Also, the game was advertised as sold out but that stadium was only half full. This is worse than the pro bowl adopting flag football imo. I realize this game is supposed to be a little different since these guys are going pro but I won't be back to this garbage.

Boys coming of age party

Just looking for ideas here...
My cousin invited me to a party for his son today. It's supposed to be a birthday/graduation/coming of age party for his son who is 17. Apparently it's going to be men only and he asked that I get a gift that is relevant to a young man venturing out into the world (I think he may take a gap year then pursue college).
Has anyone here been a part of this and what would be some good gift ideas that would retain value as he makes life decisions? (Not whiskey or hookers lol)

I have an opportunity to buy 334 acres of raw land planted in loblolly pines.
Does anyone have any good ideas on financing a purchase like this? At $3500/acre it's roughly 1.169MM and the best I've been quoted so far is 10% interest from a bank I've dealt with in the past. Are there any ways to deal with a bank on this and not get killed in Interest?

Has anyone here financed raw land with low interest?

Current rates on raw land are 6% or higher from what I've been told by my bank. I have 400 acres I want to buy but will get killed in interest payments at that rate.
Aside from paying cash for the property, are there cheaper ways to buy a property this size outside of a conventional land loan?
I realize rates have gone up across the board and we are headed into a downturn which could help me negotiate a lower price per acre, but I'd lose any gains paying back the bank on a purchase this size.
Does anyone on the board know of any creative ways to borrow for raw land without losing your shirt?

I try to keep an open mind about random political and world events but here's my case so far and most of this has been stated on this board before in one form or another.

2012. Obama begins to heavily stoke the fires of racism in this country towards white people.
2016. Russia collusion hoax...Russians are bad!
Now they really turn up the heat...

2019. American economy is booming and we are on the verge of becoming our former self in more ways than one with a sitting president that eats, sleeps and breathes punishing leftists progs 24/7.
2020. Covid strikes. Plenty of reasons to believe it wasn't an accident and likely was the fault of more than one single group.
The economy is shut down overnight with the exception of certain big businesses that rake in record profits during the pandemic. Money is printed and raging inflation is on the horizon while the sitting president is voted out (under very questionable circumstances no doubt).
2021. Biden administration undoes all of Trumps work.
Inflation rages.
Gas is up over a dollar.
Covid takes another lap
Vaccines pushed on the public while obvious methods of treatment are ignored.
Supply chain issues begin.
Afganistan withdrawal is a complete cluster and Biden begins to tinker with peace by tempting Russia into a fight over Ukraine nato situation, leading to mass of Russian military on the border.
2022. Outlook not so good.
Biden approval rating at 33%
Market starting to crumble.
Biden administration makes last ditch effort to prevent war in Ukraine (yeah right).
Major Biden press conference where he actually takes questions makes us look weak and stupid (per usual).
So we have an international crisis teed off so we can restore order to a world of problems that we had a heavy hand in creating in the first place. Im generally an optimist and there are a few silver linings with BBB being defeated and midterms looking good for Republicans but there is no way im going to believe the current events unfolding before our eyes haven't been orchestrated to a large degree.
TLDR;
Our current financial and political situation is an obvious setup.

Reading your boards it seems most think kirby needs a new game plan to win the game, assuming we have a rematch.
At this point in the season, you are who you are.
If Bama executes well on offense, they win. If Georgia dominates on defense, they win. IMO that is all there is to it. Neither team could run the ball very effectively so controlling the game by limiting the other teams possessions will be difficult, but if I was Ga that is what I would concentrate on.
There is no scenario where your qb will win a shootout and kirby cant do anything about that unless you find a way to cover bamas receivers and make the offense sputter.

Coach O not kicking the field goal on 4th and goal? Take the points and you are kicking a game tying field goal to send it to OT as time expires. I've only seen one LSU fan even mention it. He let the whole effort boil down to one 4th down call.
Random encounter with 2 trashy chicks today

Owner/Operator of a small land clearing business here in the Florida panhandle. A local builder has me clearing a handful of lots in Navarre. For those unfamiliar with the area, Navarre is a pretty nice area to live in. Lots of military families and plenty of smoke shows jogging along the roads.
Anyway, today I'm finishing up the first lot and as I'm loading the last container I look up and this chick is hanging over the privacy fence at the back of the property screaming about limbs in her yard and damage to the privacy fence.
First off, I had already assumed this house was abandoned because the grass was knee high and the place just looked a little run down and it was in a really nice neighborhood. The place stuck out like a sore thumb. Secondly, the privacy fence she was up in arms about looked like it hadn't seen sunlight in 50 years as it was falling apart.
So I stop what I'm doing and track my excavator over to the fence so I can hear her better. This chick and now her friend are both tatted up wearing cut off shirts with their beer guts exposed. Both look about 21 and every other word is frickton this and frickton that. So I'm just laughing to myself as I calm this girl down and assure her we will clean up any mess and repair any damage we might have caused. Then her friend looks at me out of the blue and invites me and my helper inside to smoke a bowl of pot with them? I politely declined as I dont smoke weed anyway and explained to them that drugs and heavy equipment dont mix and being high while pulling 80,000 lbs down the road is generally frowned upon by DOT.
So we then go to their side of the fence and do the cleanup we promised and straighten up a couple fence boards. As we are leaving I knock on the door and let her know everything is done and she walks up with what looks like a vape pen with synthetic weed in it and ask me to take a hit to which I decline. Her friend then says they have real weed if that is what I want. Then they start telling me they have to stay high because their kids (2 yrs old at most) are A holes. I say have a nice day and go back to work after that.
I walk away wondering how I ended up in a trailer park.
I know, Dear Facebook.
TLDR; Trashy chicks are trashy.

My 16 year old daughter has covid.

My daughter became very Ill yesterday morning around 10am. We will have her tested tomorrow but based on symptoms we are confident it is covid. All the local stores are sold out of home test and there is a 3 day wait for a rapid test. By 3pm I had her started on a covid treatment pack sold by a local dr (zinc, vitamin C, D, zithromax, and HCQ). I'm very happy to report that she woke up this morning feeling almost 100%.
But everything that is going on got me thinking about the plot from Planet of the Apes.
The virus continues to spread and many who would oppose authoritarian government are killed off.
Simultaneously, government overreach and dictatorial policies gain more ground every day.
18 months ago I would have laughed at a statement like that but now I think otherwise.
This delta variant has become everything that original covid was feared to be, and with more mutations on the horizon, I'm starting to think this was the plan all along.
Does anyone else think that it's a little odd that the government created so must mistrust last year concerning this virus by getting their facts wrong ( ie...lockdowns, hospitals overflowing, distributive justice, 10 days behind Italy, mask mandates, everyone is asymptomatic for 14 days, etc.)and now many of the things they harped on last year are coming to fruition under a much more severe strain? I'd like to believe that the government is that incompetent but it is starting to seem like it was intentionally done to create mistrust in the government so more people would die this year and who knows how many next year.
And now we're being told we may need booster shots every 5 months to be healthy while we inject random chemicals into our bodies? I'm not anti vax but this is crazy talk for a virus with 99.5% survivability rate and medication available to treat it very effectively.
At this point I'm convinced that next year will be worse than it is now. What is the boards outlook for this winter and beyond?

Rapid test this morning confirmed it is covid. She says she feels normal but does have a mild fever. Other than that she is good. Our school even said she can come back after 4 days with a negative test. Thank you all for your support.

New poster here but longtime lurker. I've enjoyed many a day of reading on the rant and this place can be a real wealth of knowledge if you listen to the right people.
If it pleases the board I'd like to tell you about my new website for outdoor services. Before you get riled up I'm not selling anything. My goal right now is to get contractors signed up so when I take it live to the public I have a surplus of contractors to fulfill every request and its absolutely free for you to sign up no catch whatsoever.
Let me explain how it works. The concept is based on allowing the contractor to decide if he or she wants to purchase a lead or not. When you sign up you will select any service or sales that represent your company. Whenever a potential client submits a service request and selects your services within your selected radius you will receive a notification via email and SMS that a lead is on your dashboard. At this point you will have enough information to determine if you believe it is worthy of purchase, and once purchased, the remaining client information can be viewed so you can make contact with them.
Currently our product is bare bones and I understand we still have work to do but it is getting close to being market ready so I am looking for contractors. I welcome your feedback good or bad and I'm very interested in how I can make it better. I thank you for your time and please take a minute to check it out if it interest you.

Im hearing recruiting was terrible but is that all?
Would a more competitive team have saved his job even with the same record?
Some semblance of qb development?
At least 1 win on the road against Ga?
Also, Gus has looked a little resigned over the last few games. Does anyone think word may have gotten to him that the end was near?
