(Yes, Clay Travis.
I warned you in the title.
So if you clicked the thread anyway but don't like what he says, that's a you problem.

quote:

The SEC Network is set for one of the most successful sports network launches in history now that DirecTV, the nation's largest satellite company, emailed Outkick that the company is "quite hopeful" and "expects to be able to provide the network soon." The public comments of DirecTV square with the private comments of SEC and ESPN executives, who are confident that a deal is near as well.

I have to #BELIEVE.

Here's why I think Comcast and Time Warner will come onboard:

Dallas (TW)
San Antonio (TW)
Austin (TW)
Houston (Comcast)
New Orleans (Comcast)
Nashville (Comcast)
Atlanta (Comcast)
Orlando (Comcast)
Miami (Comcast)
Tampa (Comcast)
Charlotte (TW)
Kansas City (TW)
St. Louis (Comcast)

All of those areas offer UVerse. Much of Kansas City, Austin and Charlotte offer Google Fiber.

The reason I didn't mention the satellite companies is that, due to internet, the cable companies don't really compete with DirecTV and Dish as much as you think. (DirecTV "internet" comes from Suddenlink for the most part)

However, UVerse and Google Fiber offer a comparable (or better) alternative on internet options.

Comcast and Time Warner have more to lose if they lose customers completely than if they just drop the TV service.
