Why did Music City Bowl change dates?

Last year it was on NYD. Anyone know what prompted the date change?

It's all about tourism dollars... They want ticket holders to show up in Nashville on Sat and Sun, then stay and spend NYE there as well.
ETA: I'm sure it's working as well... Several people in the game check-in thread said they'd been there since Saturday and I assume some of them will stay til January 1st.

Incorrect. Last year it was on 12/31, also a Monday.
