* We get asked a lot how the rehab of LB D.T. Shackelford is going. We made a note last week about how he believes he could play right now and is very pleased with his progress, but what we did not mention was his non-stop pursuit of getting back not only to where he used to be, but better than the two ACL surgeries he has had in the last two years. There are three practice fields. The team uses two of them for a practice. On the third one, every day - sweating to exhaustion - is D.T. and a member of the strength and conditioning staff going through different running drills to continue to strengthen the knee and comeback better than he ever was. His dedication is something pretty special.
Can't help but love that guy

Two knee surgeries are tough to recover from. I am not optimistic that we'll get DT back, but damn if he isn't trying.

It really would be ridiculous to get him back "better than before" to go along with the 2013 defense AND our 2013 signing class.

Are you getting Strong and Gross mixed up?
Posted on 10/25/12 at 3:51 pm to Whereisomaha
We must be stacked, Gross doesn't project as a starter

If DT is as good or better than before his surgery next year, I will probably pre enough to fill an otterpop sleeve while watching our defense.
Combine that with Brassell coming back at CB, possibly signing Nkdemdiche and Conner**, being able to move CJ back to linebacker... it will be faptastic.
