He is fast. He just isnt as quick as say a Walton. The one thing Dexter McCluster had was the ability to change directions and not slow down. Scott only has straight line speed.

I hope next year he is around 15 carries a game and another back or two can share 10-15 carries.

I assume it has alot to do with who is better with pass protection and who fumbles the ball less in practice.

They got most of their touches in the second half against a shitty pitt team who we were dominating. I will say though I dont think Jeff scott really did anything spectacular this year and our running game really seemed to struggle all year to me

Freeze wants to run 80-90 plays on offense evenly divided between runs and passes. If 5-10 of those passes are to a RB, that could be over 50 touches per game for the rock toters. Lots of snaps and playing time to go around.

He should get the end around carries but not the runs inside the tackles, because he always looks to the outside. PS Korvic Neat and Philander Moore suck balls too.

I won't give you any flack about it, but Jeff Scott is super talented and has earned Freeze's trust after being a behavior problem for a couple of years. He deserves to split carries with the other backs next year, plus I think Freeze will come up with some interesting wrinkles for him. Jeff Scott will end up in the NFL as long as he keeps his behavior in check.
