So an SEC team has to be selected for the Sugar Bowl this year and it is either us or Florida. If the Gators win, then they get the bid, Alabama gets the next best invite, and we get third. But if Florida loses to Alabama, we're bound to the Sugar Bowl against either Oklahoma State, TCU or Baylor.

Don't think they are an option.
I could be 100% wrong. But I'm pretty sure the other team will come from Big12. Unless none of them qualify for it. (Not sure how that happens either)

You're correct. For at least this and next year, the Sugar Bowl will be SEC vs. Big 12. It will be us vs. one of the air raid teams unless Florida beats Alabama.
In all honesty, it'll probably be Baylor. They're ranked the highest and I don't see them getting too punished for the TCU loss nor TCU getting too much credit for the win. Plus, Baylor has a shot to impress against Texas next week.

I'm in. Is it on the 1st or are all the games on NYE because NYD is on a Sunday and they don't want ratings to get killed because of the NFL?

Baylor's QB is out for the season. So maybe that would help some.

Baylors starting and now their backup qb are out for the season I believe. The kid they had in the other night was 3rd string, and he got hurt at one point

Also their 3rd string doesn't seem to be quite as good. Think i saw he went 7 for 24 against TCU for like 77 yards or so

Yeah most games you can't actually see the rain on all shots. That Baylor/TCU game it was coming down in droves. Both teams kept throwing deep balls that never were completed.
