I think it's possible. Remember, you can't measure it on the open area you see in regards to the bottom-most part of the chair-back level. There's actually a ton of space in that area. I could see them having enough space for some suites plus maybe two rows of chair-backs across.
You could also save some SRO areas on the concourse if you only build suites in the middle of the SEZ. Say, build them inside the sidelines and keep the concourses from there out.

Yes it's possible, but it will block the whole view from the concourse, which was my point. Not the end of the world, but an inconvenience that adds to the list of makeshift stadium expansions that we have accumulated.

Yeah, but it still would kinda suck. Oh well, I don't make the decisions

It all depends on how much money we can get out of the suites.
Some friends got one of the Upper SEZ suites close to the west side.
IIRC, they said it costed something like 500k a year plus costs of tickets. This was back in like 2004 when they told me so I might be mistaken. But if we can charge anywhere close to that....imagine 8-10 suites added in for next to nothing. That could pay for most of the NEZ in a few years.

Whoever came up with the idea of the suites on the west/east ??? side obviously thought it would never get expanded beyond that. What a dunce move. Y'all are going to have to tear those down to expand. I like the look, but whoever came up with that obviously didn't think a lick of future expansion. Hopefully Bjork can come up with something. I'm tired of seeing no double decks. Any plans for adding video boards in the corners of the endzone?

West side press box- mid-to-late 80's
East side Rebel Club- mid 90's
But you're correct. Just horrible planning.

gotcha. It may have had something to do with them securing the box before it was built or something.
Dunno...I just remember it was some ungodly amount of cash for it.

When we complete the NEZ expansion, instead of the one giant video board we'll have two good-sized ones in the Northeastern and Southwestern corners.
Similar to Bama's stadium except they have one in each corner.

I like that look. We're building another jumbo tron the same size on our new expansion. By the time we expand the south endzone that video board will be obsolete so we'll tear it down and make a bowl.

According to the drawing that I have seen the big board is goin to remain and they will add two boards above the SE corner and SW corner.

This is the first stage of closing in the NEZ. This was to ensure the new arena and the enclosure of the NEZ to be done sooner as opposed to having to wait for the full expansion that would mirror the SEZ.
As long as the finished product looks like the SEZ from the outside, that will be good.
Hope we don't have to wait too long.
I don't think they go back to the East side until the NEZ is completed to look like the SEZ. By then it may get a total renovation that would close in all but where the video boards would be positioned. That money would probably be used to fund a new press box for the West side as the last part of the renovation.

Whoever designed Stanford's stadium needs a fricking medal. Their stadium literally looks like it holds 100,000 yet only holds 50,000 fans. See picture to be mindblown.
I wish State could do something like this.
