I know...a thread about how a writer is out to get you is nothing like an ED thread.

If that is what you took from this thread then reading comprehension is not your strong suit. Yes the poor little journalist had his feelings hurt because he thought Ole Miss had twisted the truth. Yet if the guy actually took the time and READ the response he would see that in reality the info they provided was right. But hey, I guess all PR teams across the country, be it athletics or even politics, don't present their case in the best possible light and Ole Miss is the outlier.....

Yeah and you're not exaggerating one bit.
The guy is writing lies. Not just an opinion.
The breakdown is 4 under previous staff, 6 involving Tunsil, and 3 under Freeze the public had no idea about (2 of those are Level III). So 3, not 7, of the roughly 30 allegations were not spoken about and therefore make Bjork a liar.
Oh and me writing this is definitely going to change his mind

Now we come to find out 13 of the roughly 30 violations occurred in football and only four were under Freeze’s predecessor, Houston Nutt. Only three of those remaining 10 involved loans of cash and cars and improper payments and free lodging in regards to Tunsil and his family, which means this is much more than just a Tunsil issue and certainly wasn’t all about women’s hoops, track and field and Nutt.

Meh. He's a crybaby. The rest of the stuff is just the kind of crap you turn yourself in for and get a slap on the wrist. The things Bjork and Freeze told them about IS the stuff that should keep us up at night because it is what will get multiple sports wrecked by the NCAA if they are inclined.

I'm more annoyed by you knuckleheads who won't admit that the sky is falling than I am by a damn Rivals writer embellishing literally nothing, because our entire administration is a lying sack of shite and regret at the moment.

Think you might be on the wrong alt.

So in January, let's give them something else to write about.
This is what they have to go with now. A bunch of regurgitated stories, where everyone feels as if the staff was less than honest about what was in the NOA.
In all honesty, as it stands now, we lose some scholarships and get probation. Not that big a deal. This after having the NCAA up our asses for 3 years. If they go to any major collage and hang out for 3 years they will find much the same. Some player will have had a loaner too long. Some player will have spent the night at a coaches house. Some booster will have "loaned" a player's relative some cash and some player will need some emergency cash to pay for some unforeseen expense. There will probably be some meals that shouldn't have been expensed.
What doesn't need to happen again is any attempts to hep kids on their ACT scores or grades.
If they don't stop Hugh Freeze now, they won't ever. I think that's the bigger disappointment you hear from those on the outside. So many just knew Ole Miss was paying for players. Lil' Ole Miss that can't support gymnastics or men's soccer was paying more for players than everyone else. Cause why else would great players come to Ole Miss?
We are either Ole Piss or a bunch of cheaters.
We are not supposed to be a great football program.
Can't wait til the season starts. First team to 70 wins.

Article is spot on. Administration lied through their teeth.

This board has gone to complete shite thanks to this NCAA crap.
It's bad, duh, but not nearly as bad as tRant or some of you negative nancies make it out to be. It's also not all sunshine and rainbows like some posi-pussies would like to imagine.
There will be no post-season or TV ban. There will be no debilitating scholarship reductions. We will get more than what we proposed to the NCAA as punishment, but it won't be insurmountable. I'll put my account on it.
So both sides need to chill the frick out.

Well okidokee then.....please explain to me exactly what they "lied through their teeth" about and what exactly you think they should have said?

This X 1,000,000.....as far as the "lying", not sure what the negative Nancy's want them to say.

The only people who lied through their teeth were the ones who continued to say that Ole Miss was doing more than what was found out by the NCAA.
Now that the truth is out, all they can bitch moan and gripe about is whether or not Bjork told the truth about the infractions.
frick these whiny asses, and let's Rebel on. No fricks to give.
I've been listening to these SEC crybaby asses for 38 years. Lock the gates and lets see what you got.
