I saw it posted on 247, is there fire to this? Would that be a good hire? He can recruit Mississippi but do we really need that?

If we go this route, I say we just blow the fricking doors off and hire Trooper Taylor.

Melvin Smith would be a pretty damn good hire for the recruiting purposes. He was let go at Auburn for a reason though.

I just posted on the Spirit board about Trooper Taylor. I can't wait for the responses. It should be gold.

I'd be happy with this just because I thought we would just promote that Batoon(sp?) fellow

The Batoon fellow just proved he's not up for the job.

I thought we needed an LB coach? What is the scenario with these two cb/ secondary coaches if hired. Move to LB coach ?

Smith can't be a worse position coach than Luke, so I'm cool with it

Isn't he around 60 or so now? He may just retire.

Just what I heard on 247. I'm hoping for Trooper.

Would be hilarious, because Melvin was accused by many at Ole Miss to be our bagman for years.

It's well known we already cheat and State doesn't.
