Anyone else concerned about the lack of youth in the LB group? We missed on the kid from Germantown and Trevin Wallace. Any youth on the roster I'm not aware of or possible transfer guys with multiple years of eligibility we might look at? What about recruiting targets for the 2022 class

This is Ole Miss....ever since Fresus we don’t do Linebackers....just kidding.

35 Mark Robinson LB 6-0 222 Jr Leesburg, GA
95 Tavius Robinson LB 6-7 245 Jr Guelph, ON

13 Sam Williams LB 6-3 251 Sr Montgomery, AL

In the near term the LB group is strong (ie, next year). We have 3 younger players that have potential to be good SEC level LBers in Cistrunk, Mack and Clowney. Plus there are a couple DBs we recruited this year that could grow into the position (cover skills and speed to go sideline to sideline). We whiffed this year but did we really need them? Next year we definitely need to focus on this position in recruiting because within 2 years we will be lacking SEC level depth just like we had under Fresus.

How did we lose Wallace to Kentucky? Shitty defense. We have got to get that turned around. WR's like us; defensive players, not so much.

Yes, we most certainly did. This is a problem. You can't whiff on a position and hope next year turns out better. If we don't do well next year, we will be in a very bad position. This is the same crap we did under Freeze. Wait until next year is not a valid recruiting excuse when you are OM. Also, Muck Fat Luke.

I am not “excusing” anything. What I am saying is I am giving the staff a pass this year. We need to recruit at least 2 viable SEC starting LBers every year. This year was hard to recruit due to COVID plus our D played like porcine feces. However, we are blessed to get the likes of Henry & Songo returning.
