That "never had a problem" comment is a little off.
Yeah we had some crowds in the high 40s-52k range but nothing near capacity. I'm going off memory here so by all means if someone wants to look up numbers have at it. We weren't packing the stadium then and we won't now. Not on a Thursday.
Eta: however, as mentioned above, TV ratings will be stellar.

Recruiting will benefit as will our fanbase's enthusiasm. It's a great thing IMO.

I'm pumped. We've had threads on here before talking about how we missed it and how awesome it would be to be like the old days. I wanna know who the crew will be though. That was one of the things that made it awesome, the gameday crew. It won't be that crew probably but it might be a good one.

I love it cause it use to be like a Thanksgiving tradition for me to watch it on thanksgiving night. However I don't really care about attendance at either school so that might be part of why I love it

It makes it hard to attend, especially for out-of-state fans.
There is NFL ratings competition as well that night... I'm ok with the change but I don't have much of an opinion about it - sucks for the fans that can't go now.

Why did we let you in? I mean I know you say you go to school there, but still ... Honestly if you love Tennessee so much why couldn't you get in there instead. I know its not any harder than getting into Ole Miss.
Or hell at least transfer or something, but if you care so little about Ole Miss why are you there and why are you on this FAN board for them?

For me, it's not that big of a deal. The in-laws are State fans and my family are all Rebels. I'm sure we'll just do what we always did and pack up and head to the game after lunch. The in-laws used to just have Thanksgiving at their tailgate. Plus, everyone does the whole family thing again in a month and giving thanks by watching football is about as American as it gets.
