Yeah I was referring to idiot outsiders saying:

"You can't fire Polk, he made you" or "Stansbury invented basketball in Starkville. It's retarded to get rid of him."

I think you give him next year. We won't be improved on the field and his contract will be up.

I appreciate everything he has done for the program, but the product on the field has steadily declined over the past few seasons.

If we really are supposed to be down next year I saw go ahead and give him next year.

You don't want to put the new coach in a rough spot his first year.

Also yes I can't stand the "said coach made said program so he can't be fired" that's bullshite. Thanks for the build up now its time to pass it on.

Also what makes this so bad is that it looks like Oregon may get knocked off. So would have loved to have a chance for the Super in Oxford.

I just feel really bad for players like Wahl who gave it his all and deserved a better ending to the season and to his Ole Miss career, assuming he goes in the draft.

If we know we are going to fire him after next year, do it now and let the new guy come in and recruit and start putting his fingerprint on the team.

On the "he-made-the-program" argument, we are completely on the same page. That nonsense screams mediocrity.

Swayze is right.. It hasnt bottomed out, yet anyway... We were ranked in the top 25 for the majority of the year and we finished with an RPI of like 28... Next season when we're running 5 freshmen out there and finish well below .500 in SEC play it will time... I think you'll see a lot of empty seats in OU stadium as well.

When I think about our lineup next season it makes me cringe... Then I think about our weekend rotation if Mike goes pro and I start to get nauseous.

I think that if it has been decided that Bianco is not the right guy for the future of the program then a change should be made now. I don't get keeping him around for next year if firing him next year is inevitable.

I agree. I think it makes sense all around (including financially) to fire him now if Bjork doesn't think Bianco can get it done in the future. You can't wait another year and let the program lose support and whatever little excitement there is left in the fan base after so many letdowns. Let's get someone in here to shake things up and give us something to be hopeful for.

I just think it will be easier for Bjork to pull the trigger next year once Bianco's contract is up.

Next year is going to be a long year. I don't understand why there should ever be this big of a rebuilding project within a program when a coach has been on campus for 10+ years.

Dan McDonnell
Jim Toman
Brian O'Connor

I hope all three of these names are on Bjork's short list at this time next year... Or this time next week.

Anybody seen the poll on scout? Last I Checked it was something like 319 votes to fire him against 46 votes to keep him. I'm surprised it is that lopsided.

I can't believe he has 46 votes.
