He stayed ranked all season and cracked the top 5 in the SEC West with what is considered to be a young team with a Vet QB. Money well earned / spent.

I could ask you the same thing about Ole Miss and reading comprehension. It's a legit question.

After the Orgeron/Nutt debacle Hugh is worth $20 million in my mind.

Speaking of Orgeron, there is a rumor going around that Townsend is getting replaced on the defensive staff by none other than O. He's been in Starkville quite a bit in the last couple months.

Not in terms of DB coach, but replacing him on the defensive staff. It's a rumor I've heard from two people. I nor yourself should take it seriously, just trying to fulfill a hope here.

As much as state fans stroked his dick I'm gonna laugh for days if Townsend is let go.

I have never been a supporter nor a hater of DT. Just meh, honestly. Something needs a change though. He can recruit, but coaching is needed.

So Orgeron has scrapped his plans for holding out for a head coaching gig or even a DC job...to be the DB coach at state?

He was in Starkville for a coaching clinic. Orgeron is not going to coach your DBs.

I just remember reading and hearing all about how an NFL db was going coach state to an elite secondary and open up a pipeline to USP. lol

You misread my post. By "replacing" DT, I was referring to the Defensive staff. One out (DT), one in (Coach O).

Was he really that great of a recruiter? Seems like your d backfield guys in Hughes and Townsend are lacking in the coaching department.

Take a lap Billy, it's a stupid question.

His next job will absolutely not be as a coordinator. If Dan leaves for Michigan and he's hired as the next head coach of State, he may be tGOAT Dawg. Piss around at TSUN for a few years then go to State and out recruit Freezus, what more could State fans want in a coach.

Yes, we have some very solid raw talent back there. Need someone to coach them up. Redmond, Hughes, Love, and soon to be Peters (even if he doesn't play S).

For some reason or another it wouldn't feel right.

tGrind of that hire would be too much for this site to bear.
Get it?
Get it?

I for one would look forward to routinely whipping Orgeron
